Position Overview: We are seeking a Manager of Finance & Accounts to oversee our financial operations. This pivotal role involves managing financial statements, budget processes, and ensuring compliance with fiscal regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management within various sectors, including logistics or related industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and consolidation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international financial reporting standards.
  • Oversee all accounting operations including Ledger maintenance, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Tax computations.
  • Manage the monthly bookkeeping and financial reporting, utilizing modern accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns and corporation tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decisions and maintain optimal cash flow management.
  • Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting systems and policies.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages efficiency and growth.

Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy / Finance and ACCA qualified or equivalent, with a solid foundation in accounting, taxation, auditing, and financial management.
  • Proven experience in managing financial operations, ideally within a logistics or related business context.
  • Strong proficiency in using various financial software platforms such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, and Pandle.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Superior leadership and communication skills, capable of managing and developing a team.
